25 years ago: Bradford councillors voted to push ahead with plans offering advertising space on the side of council vehicles – including Lord Mayor’s limousine.
50 years ago: In spite of the rising number of road accidents, more people were being killed from accidents in their own homes. Dr William Edgar, Bradford’s deputy medical of health, said there were 27 fatal home accidents in the city the previous year.
