50 years ago: A consignment of Christmas toys valued at £2,000 was undamaged in a Bradford shop fire. Bradford Fire Brigade dealt with the fierce blaze at Mitchell’s Robot Store, toys, sweets and tobacconists, at the junction of Killinghall Road and Leeds Road, Laisterdyke.
