Happy, Sleepy and Grumpy have been decked out in their Sunday best with the help of Maurice Horsman of Wycliffe Gardens in Shipley. The dwarves are all going to be showing up at the Shipley Glen Tramway next month. Mr Horsman is a member of the Bradford Trolley Bus Association and is helping prepare the dwarves for their special day.

Heckmondwike which in the past has been one of the brightest decorated towns in the West Riding at Christmas, is to have no illuminations this year. The reason, said Councillor G W Barnes, was the cost. He said: "Last year displays ran up a bill of £200 and without help from the traders we cannot afford that this year." Traders were disappointed.
