25 Years Ago: A Laser gun centre based in Westgate, Bradford, had closed after running up a £150,000 debt. The Labyrinth Leisure company, which owed the Laser Quest franchise, said the game centre had failed to attract enough customers.
50 Years Ago: Britain was riding high as Dave Hemery took gold in the 400 metres hurdles and John Sherwood came in third with a bronze in just three days of competition at the Olympic Games in Mexico.
