25 years ago: Bradford's ice cream makers were working flat out to meet demand as the district sizzled in the hottest start to May since records began, with sales up 400 per cent on the previous year due to the 26.5C heat.
50 years ago: Three children, including a 20-month-old boy, who was resuscitated by a member of Bradford Fire Brigade, were dragged to safety from their smoke-filled home in Moorcroft Road, Tong, after bedding in a front bedroom set alight.
