25 years ago: Bradford beat off a number of rival bids to become the new Yorkshire base for TV-am, with the sixth floor of the city’s National Museum of Film, Photography, and Television set to be turned into a new £100,000 studio and live broadcasts due to start in June.
50 years ago: The Esholt Park grass track car races, an Easter Monday feature which regularly attracted 3,000 fans to the area, were cancelled after the Bradford and District Motor Club failed to reach an agreement with landowners.
