25 years ago: Swansea City announced an intention to pursue compensation claims against Bradford City for the loss of manager Terry Yorath more than a year ago through the courts, as the Welsh club’s vice-chairman, Glyn Hammond, said: “If people think this issue has died a death, they are very much mistaken.”
50 years ago: The Minister of Transport, Tom Fraser, said that Frizinghall and Manningham railway stations would close on March 22, claiming “absolutely nothing” could be done.
