From the Telegraph & Argus of January 20, 1982...The community constable for Wibsey in Bradford is WPC Janet Woodhall, a foreign travel and camping enthusiast. Janet, 24, who lives in Clayton joined West Yorkshire Police in 1976 and has always served in Odsal division. She previously patrolled the area in Panda cars. Now she is looking forward to more personal contact and will be visiting schools, the elderly and community organisations.

From the Telegraph & Argus of January 20, 1957...The Bradford branch of the Paxton Horticultural Society have been addressed by a BBC Gardening expert. Bill Sowerbutts, of Ashton-under-Lyne, a member of the popular BBC Gardeners Question Time since 1947, spoke to the group at the Mechanics institute. After his talk, he judged a cacti competition, won by Mr H Backhouse.
