From the Telegraph & Argus of November 25, 1981...Bradford is now the eighth biggest city in England and Wales outside London according to new statistics despite losing nearly five per cent of its population during the past decade. It has ousted Nottingham from the number eight spot simply because people have been moving out of Bradford more slowly than in most other major cities.

From the Telegraph & Argus of November 25, 1956...A scheme for the provision of television facilities for flats to be constructed in the centre of Shipley, to avoid the unsightly appearance of a large number of outside aerials, will be presented for approval at a Council meeting. A housing committee minute will recommend granting licence to a radio relay company for installation of the company's apparatus at the flats.
