From the Telegraph & Argus of November 23, 1981...Three majorette troops represented Bradford in the British Majorette Baton Twirling Association Competition yesterday. The event was at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford. Taking part from Bradford were Debra Holmes, Elizabeth McKay, Andrea Miller, Penny Holmes, Caroline Houson and Lesley Robertshaw.

From the Telegraph & Argus of November 23, 1956...The directors of Otley Mechanics Institute have offered the building to Otley Urban Council. The offer will be considered by the Finance and General Purposes Committee on December 10. The institute in Maypole Square houses a private library, reading room and billiards hall.
