From the Telegraph & Argus of November 20, 1981...Pat Wall, the recently selected Labour Party Parliamentary candidate for Bradford North, has challenged the man he deposed, the present MP Ben Ford, to answer the same sort of allegations and questions that he had faced. Mr Wall, speaking at last night's meeting of Bradford's Trades Council, said he took great exception to remarks made in newspapers which amounted to personal attacks on him. Many of the attacks made were from people who were not connected with the Bradford North constituency Labour Party.

From the Telegraph & Argus of November 20, 1956...Rock and roll reached the fringes of the Yorkshire Moors last night as sedate, respectable Ilkley was invaded by rock-hungry teenagers who stormed into the Grove Cinema to see Bill Haley and his Comets in Rock Around the Clock. As Haley started to play the teenagers, in sweaters, jeans and bright coloured jackets, lifted their seats and started to dance in a specially prepared section of the front stalls.
