25 years ago: The Bradford district was facing a population explosion. The boom had left local authority experts with a “pressing need” to plan for the future of the district.
50 years ago: A swan that was found in an exhausted condition on an Otley housing estate and was taken to the house of a police officer was convalescing happily in an outbuilding which it shared with a rabbit and four guinea pigs.
