25 years ago: Two women who chained themselves to a tree in protest at five saplings being felled in Raglan Avenue, Keighley, were celebrating after Bradford Council agreed to replant the five lost trees.
50 years ago: Five new police boxes were to be built in Bradford, it was announced. Costing £9,177, they would have room for officers to work in.
