Last week the Telegraph & Argus ran a report on the threat to working men’s clubs, in light of problems facing the Club and Institute Union.
Alongside the article, we ran a photograph of life as it used to be at working men’s clubs before factors such as the smoking ban had an impact on the membership. The photograph was taken in the 1960s or 1970s.
Since the article went in, we have had phone calls from people interested in finding out which club it was.
The name hasn’t been recorded in our archives, so now it’s over to you. Were you, or anyone you know, in the photograph, or do you know when or where it was taken?
