Telegraph & Argus Monday April 17, 1989:

In 1989, the Hillsborough disaster had claimed the lives of 96 Liverpool fans and injured 766, making it the worst disaster in British sporting history. On Monday April 17, the Telegraph & Argus featured a 10-page spread covering all aspects of the tragedy, with one article, looking at what could have been a possible solution. Bradford City chiefs believed that a similar system of electronic fencing like the one at Valley Parade, thrown open at a flick of a switch could have prevented the devastating crush. The irony was that the gates which made it impossible for such incident to happen at Bradford, were installed because of the Valley Parade fire.
