What was the function of this small building with its tall, central chimney, which has survived demolition and changes around it in Valley Road? It stands at the end of a long, triangular car park opposite the entrance to the Post Office sorting-office yard.
A sign on the roof indicates that it was most recently a caf, but what was it before that? And why hasn't it been flattened like everything else around it?
If any readers can come up with information, I'd be grateful for it.
