BINGLEY Bees secured their Yorkshire Women's Division Two status with a 2-0 home victory over Pudsey.
The Bees lost the encounter between the sides earlier in the season but were confident about the return clash as they fielded a stronger side.
There were no goals in the first half, despite the hosts having multiple short corners, but a half-time change in formation by skipper Rachael Holdsworth worked wonders for the Bees.
Mel Burgess, pushed up front from defence, put the home side ahead – despite being flat on her back at the time.
The hosts had even more short corners in the second half and, after Holdsworth intercepted a hit out and again ran into the D, Burgess shot, with Janice Reid getting the vital second goal.
Emma Baker was named Bingley's player of the match.
