BINGLEY Bees are still without a point in Yorkshire Men's Division Four North after they fluffed several chances in a 2-1 home defeat to Mirfield.
It was a game that the hosts should have won easily, especially after skipper Ben Clough put them ahead in the seventh minute with a drag flick from a short corner.
However, poor defending allowed the visitors to equalise 90 seconds later, and another defensive error gave them a winner in the second half.
The closest the Bees came to scoring in the second half at Bradford Grammar School was when Jack Matthews' lifted shot was gloved away by the keeper.
Thirsk did the double over Bingley Bees women, with the first team winning 7-3 at home in the Yorkshire Premier Division, while the seconds triumphed 6-0 at Bradford Grammar School.
