Keighley’s Alistair Shand won Yorkshire Race Walking Club’s 14.3km club race at Baildon.
The event was around a tough circuit to be used for the 35km Bradford Walk on May 31. Shand finished in 1hr 31min 22 sec, with Russell Jackson second in 1:38:23.
Other finishers were Alan Brooks (1:41:05), Keith French (1:41:06), Phil Carroll (1:55:31) and Geoff Dowling, who completed 7,150 metres.
