IAN HUTCHINSON has drawn level with Isle of Man TT great Mike Hailwood by notching his 14th win around the Mountain Course today.

The 'Bingley Bullet', who won the Monster Energy Supersport and the RL 360 Superstock races on Monday, made it three wins in three days by taking Supersport race two.

In second place, 17.547 seconds behind, was Michael Dunlop, whose bike was fitted with a Robin Appleyard engine overnight, while Bradford's Dean Harrison, like Hutchinson, clinched a third podium in as many days by finishing third to go with his two runners-up places from Monday.

Morning mist meant that today's race was delayed three times, eventually starting 90 minutes late, and Hutchinson admitted: "I thought I had a front puncture because there was so little grip after Tuesday's rain."

Not as dominant on Monday, he had an average speed of 127.45mph on his first lap and led by four seconds from Dunlop, passing the start finish line at 161mph.

Harrison was third 7.6 seconds behind Dunlop, but Hutchinson's lead over the Irishman had increased to 7.1 seconds and 17.8 seconds by the end of laps two and three, with the winner going through the speed gun at Sulby at 170.3 and 172.5mph on those laps.

Hutchinson said: "It is a brand new bike, there have been no issues and it is great to be on the podium with such good riders.

"It hasn't sunk it yet about equalling Mike Hailwood's 14 but I know I didn't want to be stuck on 13 wins for too long.

"This has been a good year so far but I know what a bad year is – when I was stuck in a hospital bed waiting for an operation while everybody else was still riding."

Harrison was worried about an oil leak and confessed: "I was thinking about pulling out at the end of lap one but it was only a fine misting and there wasn't even any in the belly-pan.

"I had a god scrap with Conor Cummins, where he was passing me and holding me up and I was passing him and holding him up, but I am happy with the Kawasaki – it is the most reliable bike that I have ridden."
