Silsden’s Natasha Burdock and Liam Burdock won gold for Quest Taekwondo in the Sheffield Open at Ponds Forge.
Liam also won a silver, along with Zak Spencer (Baildon), Hannah Mayes (Wibsey), Jake Barnett (Baildon) and Rebecca Weir (Baildon).
Bronze winners were Ellie Bowden (Cullingworth), Mayes, Barnett and Jason Mann Greengates).
Natasha defeated Keighley’s Leah Moorby (Ultimate Taekwondo) in the junior final.
“Natasha’s aim is to be selected for the European Junior Championships in Portugal in 2013,” said coach Rick Simpson.
“The competition last weekend was just practice, as it is for the rest of the players.
“The main stepping stones to be selected will be the London International Open in July (which Natasha emphatically won in 2011), the British National Championships in Manchester in September (where Natasha finished second in Great Britain) and various A Class competitions abroad, which are yet to be defined by the Great Britain Academy.
Natasha’s younger brother Liam, nine, won his final 10-2 against Puma Taekwondo (Midlands).
