JOE Cullen faces a quarter-final clash with James Wade this afternoon in the Bet Victor Masters Darts after beating world number two Rob Cross.
Bradford thrower Cullen beat Cross 10-6 in the first round in Milton Keynes yesterday.
Cullen took an early 2-0 and then 4-1 lead, before a 124 finish triggered a Cross fightback.
But Cross was unable to level in leg eight and leg 14 - where he missed two darts at a double - as Cullen held on.
Cullen then produced a key 107 checkout, to follow an earlier 100 finish, as he moved 9-6 up before sealing victory on double eight.
Cullen will now face Wade in this afternoon's quarter-final session, which begins at 12.45pm, with the Masters' evening session, which includes the semi-finals and final, starting at 7pm tonight.
