A new sports club for visually-impaired players are celebrating an international call-up for one of their members.
Brittany Stead, from Cleckheaton, has been selected for the Great Britain squad competing at the European Championships in Turkey next month.
The Kirklees Goalball Club was set up as part of the Paralympic Legacy in the area.
The sport is played by two teams of three participants, who all wear eyeshades so they are totally blindfolded.
The court of play has tactile markings which helps players determine where they are. The ball contains internal bells which help players locate it during play.
