BRADFORD youngster Lucas Smith has been rewarded for the hard work of himself and his dad Alex by winning silver medals in the WTKA (World Traditional Karate Kickboxing Association) Unified World Championships in Spain.
The two-time British champion, who is only ten, was runner-up in both the K1 and Thai Boxing categories.
Money to help the Pudsey Tyersal Primary School pupil get to Benidorm came from companies High Definition Supplements Leeds (£100) and Advanced Supply Chain Bradford (£200), a non-uniform day at his school (£300), a sponsored walk up Pen-y-Ghent with his dad Alex (£350) and a £250 contribution from 90-year-old Pudsey resident Fred Jackson.
West Leeds Muay Thai Club member Lucas now wants to tackle Brazilian Ju-Jitsu as well.
