Bradford Bulldogs kicked off the new season with a disappointing defeat against Flintshire Freeze in North Wales.
The Bulldogs found themselves 4-0 down at the break. They came out fighting in the second period, however, and scored through Robert Whittleston, who was playing his first match for the club.
The third period saw the Bulldogs on the back foot again as Flintshire took control.
The final score was 11-1 to the hosts, which leaves the Bulldogs with a lot of work to do before travelling to Blackburn to play Lanca-shire on Saturday night.
The under-12s kicked off their season with a fantastic 14-2 win at Manchester and the under-16s also won on their travels, beating Blackburn 4-0.
