BRADFORD Bulldogs have doubled up against Under-12 North Division One league champions Sheffield.

After handing previously unbeaten Sheffield a 6-3 defeat in the steel city in the last league game of the campaign in April, the Bulldogs repeated the dose in a prestigious weekend tournament at Sheffield Ice Arena.

Bradford defeated Dundee 5-0, Cardiff 6-1, Basingstoke 8-0, Swindon 9-1 and Chelmsford 5-2 before despatching Sheffield 6-1 to win the tournament for a second straight year.

Bulldogs head coach Andy Brown said: "The under-12s have had a fantastic season and their last win proves what young people can achieve when they work hard.

"We're so lucky to have an ice rink in Bradford and ice hockey is a great sport to be involved in as it improves fitness and develops discipline and teamwork. I would encourage any young person who is interested to give ice hockey a go."

Training sessions are held on Wednesdays at Bradford Ice Arena on Little Horton Lane (5.30-6.30pm).
