Yeadon C finished runners-up in Division One of last season’s Bradford Summer League but have made a great start as they look to go one better this time.
Three victories to date see Yeadon setting the pace, with their latest coming at Embassy A. Mann Younis was unbeaten, while Fred Yeung and Stefan Masoudi won twice each in an 8-2 verdict.
Hermits D have also recorded three wins to lead the way in Division Three but they were pushed hard in a close encounter with stablemates Hermits C before taking it 6-4.
Chris Town won all three of his points for the C team, with Tom Sampson adding a single courtesy of a 13-11 fifth-game win over Les Packer.
Martin Jackson and Terry Halliday won two each for the D team, while Packer picked up one, and in the doubles Halliday and Packer came from 2-1 down to pip Town and Sampson 13-11 in the decider.
