LISTERHILLS AA: The draw for Sunday’s members’ Christmas Cheer match at Rodley is at 9am. Carp fishing at Pilley’s Dam has slackened off with the cooler weather but some decent fish are still being caught, including the season’s best to date weighing 24lb 8oz by junior member M Briggs. The winner of the Specimen Fish Trophy is E Harrison with a roach of 2lb ½oz caught in the match at Newton. Runner-up K Rastall had a pike of 27lb, K Lawrence was third with a carp of 23lb – both from Pilley’s Dam – and fourth was D Jackson with a perch of 1lb 12oz. The competition was judged by tackle manufacturer Peter Drennan, who kindly donated a prize for the winner. Unfortunately the junior angler’s carp was caught too late for this year’s competition.
