When fishing Queen Mary’s Ponds at Ripon, members should ensure that all gates are closed at all times. Knotford is fishing well for carp, especially off the top in sunny conditions. The river coarse season opens on Thursday, so all stretches of the River Calder should be worth a visit and the River Nidd and River Swale for chub and barbel.
