Five City of Bradford swimmers enjoyed a productive time during the high-level ASA Northern Area Zonal Meet at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

The City quintet had 22 swims between them and produced five youth national times, two ASA national times and one British Championships time, as well as a bronze medal and eight long-course personal bests.

The bronze went to 16-year-old James Dawson in the 16-and-under 100 metres breaststroke with a time of 1min 10.14sec, which also earned a place at the British Championships.

Sian Morgan clocked four national youth times in the 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle and the 200m individual medley, two of which were also ASA national times.

Sam O’Donohoe, swimming at 16-and-under, posted a long-course best of 2:16.43 in the 200m individual medley to finish sixth.

In the girls’ 14--and-under, Ellie Talbot clinched three long-course best times in the 100m and 200m freestyle and 200m individual medley, while Josh Zenner secured a best time in the 100m backstroke.
