Bradford Maroons achieved their third successive victory in EBL Division Three North with a 102-98 success over Huddersfield Heat.
In recent games the Maroons have got off to poor starts before fighting their way back but this time an up-tempo opening saw them finish the first quarter leading 35-11.
At this point a rout looked on the cards but Huddersfield clawed their way back and from the halfway point only a few points separated the derby rivals.
This weekend the Maroons have two fixtures, travelling to Liverpool on Saturday and then hosting Mansfield Giants on Sunday at Parkside Road Sports Centre (tip-off 2.30pm).
