SILSDEN star Dougie Lampkin produced a clean ride to win Bradford & District Motor Club's trial at Cowling Cragg on Sunday.

A lot of hard work by organisers the previous day almost proved in vain when only 28 competitors signed on. Ironically of that number, five were members of the team that set up the event.

Lucy, Ellie, Anthony and Brian Ayrton processed the results as well as section plotting with Nathan Wrigglesworth, Ethan Chapman and Sam Boocock.

The trial hit a high note when Dougie and Alfie Lampkin arrived and then Gabby Whitham after her appendicitis operation recovery.

Eight hit the hard route where Dougie ran clean and Wrigglesworth dabbed twice. Class A youth Ethan Chapman jumped in the deep end and also rode the hard route.

His score set new standards in height but at least the lad gave it a go.

Mick Shorrock was the real action man and managed to observe sections seven and eight from one vantage point.

Bradford run again on Saturday at Howden Wood and hope to have ten observers recruited.
