BRADFORD cyclist Ella Curtis has bagged bronze at the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi.

The 16-year-old is part of a 128 strong Great Britain team out in the Middle East competing across more than a dozen different sports.

Curtis bagged third-spot and a medal in Monday's 500m modified cycle time trial.

Tim Curtis - Ella's dad and respected artist - has been sharing "bling ting" posts and photos on Facebook throughout the games highlighting other competitors who have bagged medals.

Yesterday, he had a more personal post to make in the aftermath of his daughter's momentous achievement.

He said: "Teeny tiny selfish bling ting. Yes, I cried like a baby. Thank you to everyone who raised money, sent love and support and to our GB team and amazing extended family out here. So proud."

Britain's current medal haul sits at 53 golds, 49 silvers and 35 bronzes with one day left to go.
