TEENAGER Hamza Urfan is warming up for a crack at national success after winning the Yorkshire and Humberside finals in Hull.
The 15-year-old Bingley Grammar School pupil, who boxes out of the Warrior Breed club, is through to next weekend's junior championship northern semi-finals in Warrington.
Coach Inzy Ahmed, who is part of the Amir Khan academy in Bolton, said: "I was contacted to work with Hamza as he was left on the sides and ignored by most coaches.
"I heard his story and decided to help. I have spent seven months working with him and today he is the Yorkshire and Humberside champion.
"He's also in the semi-finals of the nationals and, win or lose, it's okay because it's been great experience I won't forget."
The national finals take place in Yorkshire. They are being staged at the Magna Centre in Rotherham on Saturday, October 10.
