THE Ben Ramsden Merit takes place at Northcliffe and Shipley Club on Sunday, with start and scratch at 10.30am.
The early rounds will be played on the Northcliffe greens, with the latter rounds played on the main Shipley Club green.

* SHIPLEY Club are now looking for teams for their Short Mat Indoor Bowls League, which is due to start on Monday, November 16 and runs through until March.
Teams will consist of between four and eight players and matches will be played on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays, with games every couple of weeks.

* FARSLEY Bowling Club start their annual pairs knockout competition on Sunday, September 20 (11am).
There will be eight qualifying weeks, ending with the final on Sunday, November 15, and prize money will be £2,000, subject to having 16 pairs every Sunday.
