CITY of Bradford Swimming Club were on golden form in the Harrogate & District A Grade Meet at Harrogate Hydro, taking home 57 gold medals, 44 silvers and 24 bronzes.
Topping the pile were Seth Berry and Oliver Wain (six each) and Abigail Shuttleworth (five), while others went to Joe Stenhouse, Archie Dunne, George Wilde (four each), Rachel Binns, Sam Naylor, Jimmy Lund (three each), Ella Jones, Beth Meer, Natalia Basaraba, Ellen Winters, Archie Minto, Tom Stenhouse (two each) and Poppy Anderson, Frankie Woodman, Ella Stabler, Cameron Mander, Simran Mander, Ben Grimshaw and John-Luke Hutchinson (one each).
In addition, speeding tickets went to Sophia Basaraba (four), Maisie Dunne, Ellen, Jimmy and John-Luke.
This meet was a good introduction to competitive swimming for some of City’s emerging swimmers, who all train with Bradford Council's Leisure Services Aquatic Competition Programme.
