BRADFORD Esprit member Ruby Bower has been selected for her first Junior World Championships next month.
The 14-year-old from Wilsden will compete in the ten-metre platform event in Penza, Russia from September 9-14.
Bradford Grammar School pupil Ruby sealed her place in Russia by getting a bronze at the European Junior Championships in Bergamo, Italy in what was only her second outdoor competition.
Rising star Ruby, who trains for six days a week and has been an Esprit member for five years, notched a personal best of 326.35 points in qualifying at the Europeans, only to better it with 334.35 in the final.
Earlier in the year, Ruby, who is supported by Bradford Council's coaching team, set another lifetime best of 316.80 to win Group B at the Elite Junior National Championships.
