The opening round of Bradford Bandits’ Racing in the Rain race series at Peel Park attracted 29 riders.
First off were the TROHMS ('They Really Ought To Know Better), with riders in their 20s up to 60s. Simon Perry finished first, with Richard Bowkett in second and Billy Fieldhouse third.
In the formula 5 class, Devin Rhodes took first place, with Jacob Archer and Alfie Neild in second and third. Formula 3 winner was Kirk Melhuish (Alfie Ainge second, Ben Huskisson third) and formula 2’s group of young riders was headed by Ellis Burgess, followed by Francis Rhodes And Zac Dalby.
Formula one had one clear winner in Alexander Grice, with Sophie Thewlis pushing him hard, while in super class Martin Ogden held off Michael Cummins, with Josh Thewlis in third.
