ROMONEY Crichlow has a new club – after signing for EFL new boys Barnet.

The defender joins the National League champions following his exit from Valley Parade at the end of the season.

Crichlow, who played 12 times in his second spell with City after re-joining in January, said: “When I had the presentation with the gaffer and the rest of the staff, the way they envisioned me playing in that system, it was a no brainer really.

“The style of play, in recent times it’s been very successful – (they are) serial winners at this point.”

Barnet boss Dean Brennan revealed they have been monitoring Crichlow since his time at Peterborough.

Brennan told the club website: “Last season he helped Bradford gain promotion, and he gives us really good balance on that left-hand side.

“We know he’s a good leader, he’s shown that at previous clubs, and he’s helping us upgrade – what’s important for him is he plays 50 games for Barnet Football Club this season.”

Crichlow teamed up with his new club this morning for the start of pre-season training.

Another former Bantam, Harry Chapman, was released by Barnet following their promotion.
