OH baby! Two City players had an extra reason to celebrate at Valley Parade today.

Antoni Sarcevic and Brad Halliday both became dads again during the week.

Sarcevic was not at training on Friday as his wife Kate gave birth to their third son Enzo.

Halliday’s partner Annouska had welcomed another baby boy, Teddy, the day before.

“I’m buzzing for Brad and Sarce,” said boss Graham Alexander. “They’ve had a great week personally bringing a new baby into their families and they’ve topped it off with two great performances.”

Sarcevic scored the first goal in City’s thumping 3-0 win over League Two leaders Walsall. Halliday won the ball to start the move for the second and both were given standing ovations when they were subbed late in the game.

Two-goal Alex Pattison added: “Brad and Sarce went into the game on such a high and you could probably see that in their performance.

“Congratulations to them two. It’s a special feeling becoming a dad for the second time in Brad’s case and the third for Sarce.

“I’m over the moon for them and for the fact we got three points for them as well.

“That’s one of the main reasons we are doing so well, how close the team is. We’ve all got really close in the last couple of months.”
