JOE Arundel is the first of Bulls’ released players to officially find a new club, and he looks set to come up against them next season.
The veteran centre has signed a one-year deal with their Betfred Championship rivals Batley, who finished outside of the play-offs last season for the second year running.
The Bulldogs will hope Arundel can make it third time lucky as they look to climb back into the top six for the first time since 2022.
Batley’s head coach Mark Moxon certainly thinks his new signing can have a positive impact.
He said: “Joe has lots of experience playing at a high level and we are hoping he can bring all that experience and knowledge into our group.
“Having had a season interrupted by injury at Bradford last year, Joe is hoping to spend as much time on the field as possible and get back to enjoying his rugby.
“That is something that I feel we can help him achieve and in return we hope he brings some of that Super League quality that he has shown throughout his career.”
