Lee Gaskell will not be returning for Bradford Bulls’ Betfred Championship semi-final away to Toulouse Olympique this Sunday, and may have played his last game for the club.
The stand off was expected to be fit for this game after a hamstring niggle, and given his contract is expiring with the club at the end of this season, these play-offs were expected to be his swansong.
But head coach Eamon O’Carroll has kept the faith in Jarrod Sammut and Jordan Lilley as his two starting halves, after the pair linked up superbly in the eliminator win over Featherstone last Sunday.
Otherwise, the Bulls head coach could name exactly the same 17 that took to the field at Odsal for that victory against Fev.
One particular point of interest will be to see whether he starts Sam Hallas at hooker again.
O’Carroll went that way against Featherstone, despite starting either Mitch Souter or Tyran Ott there all season.
All three players are in the squad for Sunday’s game, so O’Carroll’s options are open.

In terms of following the game live this weekend, the available outlets are the T&A and West Yorkshire Radio, who are both out in the South of France, or attending the semi-final in person.
Otherwise, you can attend a live stream of the game in the Southbank Stand at Odsal.
Tickets for that are already sold out, but Bulls are now offering a second option for those who missed out.
They have been able to secure the rights to show a replay of the full match just after the final hooter, which will be broadcast in the Southbank Stand at Odsal from 7:15pm on Sunday.
Doors open for that from 6:30pm, around 30 minutes after the end of the game in France.
Those who cannot make the live stream are invited to attend the Full Match Replay for £2, which is non-refundable to cover the additional costs of a second screening.
Season ticket holders who were unable to book on to the live stream will be given first refusal.
They will be able to book from 6pm this evening until 8pm, when tickets will then go on general sale.
Season ticket holders will be contacted at 2pm this afternoon via an email to the ‘Lead Booker’ - with a code and a link to access the exclusive booking window.
