CITY impressed to chalk up their first home win of the season against League Two newcomers Bromley.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Richie Smallwood produced a captain’s display, setting the tone with a coolly-taken penalty and then running the midfield – particularly in the first half when City were camped in the Bromley half.
MOMENT OF THE MATCH
Andy Cook’s goal just before half-time to put City 2-0 up provided the breathing space they deserved after creating so many good chances.
MOAN OF THE MATCH
City should have scored more than three goals after playing with a man advantage for so long in the game. Bromley’s late consolation took some of the gloss off the performance.
TACTICS
Graham Alexander stuck with the same 11 that started the opening home game against Salford.
Newest recruit Joe Adams was not included in the squad after arriving on a season-long loan from Wigan at the end of the week.
The only change in the 18 from the Ammies draw was on the bench where Lewis Richards returned in place of Tyler Smith.
