CITY came from behind to grab a point for only the second time in 2024 in yesterday’s draw with Grimsby.

MAN OF THE MATCH

The award should arguably go to the bench for the impact the subs had in dragging the game back in the closing stages. Of the starters, Brad Halliday was consistent at both ends of the pitch and was up there to win the late penalty.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

Richie Smallwood, like most around him, didn’t have the best game but he stepped up when he mattered to nail the big moment with a decisive penalty in front of the travelling fans.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

It was a poor quality performance in a poor quality game. The stop-start nature of the afternoon didn’t help but City looked well off it compared with Friday.

TACTICS

Graham Alexander made one change from the side that beat Tranmere 2-0 on Good Friday.

Jamie Walker stepped down to the bench as Jon Tomkinson was recalled for his first start since being away with the US Olympic squad.
