TYREIK Wright will continue to put his best foot forward for City – however painful that may be.

The on-loan winger played his first full game for seven months against Forest Green.

And that came three days after he had hobbled off at Accrington after taking a whack on his left foot.

Wright’s two-goal show in that win showed what a huge attacking weapon he will be for the run-in.

Boss Graham Alexander is determined to get every minute out of him if City are to keep their play-off ambitions alive.

The Bantams boss said: “Pain management is something a lot of players will go through season to season. It’s a physical sport and you’re always going to be carrying some bump or other aches.

“It’s just his lack of actual game time. Tyreik’s an explosive player and his data is through the roof in training and games.

“It’s making sure we don’t lose him again, like we did when we brought him in.

“It’s more that exposure to full matches and how he plays rather than a sore foot.”

Wright stayed on for the entirety on Tuesday night, finishing the game as an attacking left back, and looked City’s most likely scorer.

He had last played a full game on August 8 for Plymouth against Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup first round.

Meanwhile, Matty Platt again won’t be available in the squad to face Mansfield on Saturday.

The centre half could take part in some of the training tomorrow but is not expected to rejoin the group fully until after the weekend.
