CITY have announced that the “atmosphere section” at Valley Parade will be moving.

It follows a recent survey of fans about whether they felt the group, who have been based in the North West Corner, should be switched to the lower tier of the Kop.

More than 2,600 fans responded – with 80 per cent backing the move.

Thirteen per cent felt the section should stay where it is in the upper tier of the NWC.

The Telegraph & Argus also received some messages from supporters who currently sit in the bottom section of the Kop expressing their concerns.

But the switch has been rubberstamped by the club, with the drum and flags likely to be situated in Block B of the Kop from the start of next season.

The front eight rows in the upper tier of the North West Corner will remain available to those who still want to sit in that area of the stadium – but the rest of that section will be closed.

Season tickets for the 2024/2025 campaign are now on sale via City’s new online ticketing platform.
