YOUNG footballers could turn their dreams of playing for Bradford City into a reality at open trials this weekend.

Bradford City AFC Academy will be hosting trials at BEAP Community Partnership, a centre home to several sporting facilities including 4G football pitches.

The trials will be taking place at the community centre on Cornwall Road, Manningham, on Saturday, March 9.

It is open to young footballers from under seven and under 12 age groups.

Successful players could go on to become Bradford’s next football stars.

The open trials have an £8 fee and advance booking is required.

There will not be any on-the-day bookings.

The football academy’s website reads: “Bradford City Academy is always looking to ‘identify talent and develop the future generation’, giving local players a chance to succeed.

“If you have the ambition and believe you have the ambition and drive to become a professional footballer, we are holding open trials at Bradford City Academy.

“Our previous open trials have proved to be a great success. They have given many young footballers an outlook on the footballing world, with numerous players signed into our development programme.”

People from a variety of backgrounds are welcome.

It comes as BEAP enters its third year of running a Bradford Development Centre for boys interested in football.

Anyone who wishes to book onto the open trials should visit the website at www.bradfordcityacademy.co.uk/recruitment/trials
