TYREIK Wright cannot wait to rekindle his football love affair for City after his Plymouth frustration.

Wright will begin his second loan spell at Valley Parade tomorrow, weather permitting, after joining until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old is desperate to get going again after finding opportunities strictly limited with his parent club in the Championship.

He has not played a full game since Easter Monday – and his only start in the second tier this season saw him subbed at half-time.

Wright admitted: "It's been frustrating more than anything. As a player you want to play every minute of every game but it just hasn't worked out that way.

"I don't have grudges against anyone. I absolutely loved Steven Schumacher, I thought he was a great manager and he's gone to a great club in Stoke so I wish him all the best there.

"Now we've got Ian Foster in and he looks like a good manager as well.

"I just want to play with a smile on my face, playing as many minutes as I can while I'm here, help the team as much as I can and just fall back in love with football - because over the last year I just fell out of love with it, really.”

Graham Alexander can understand why Wright jumped at the chance of joining Plymouth 12 months ago. The City boss dismissed any suggestion that it was the wrong move for him at the time.

"There's no guarantees,” he said. “If you were going to tell a player not to move from League Two to the Championship, why would you give that advice?

"Like myself, you know the odds of making it as a player before you're a player - they're very minute. But you back yourself, you have to have that belief and confidence.

"So you can't turn down a club thinking, 'I probably won't play there'. I don't think that should enter your mind.

"You make a decision because you feel it's right at the time. It's only in hindsight you think you might have made a mistake.

“If you don't go for it, you're never going to go anywhere. Tyreik made a move thinking it would be the best for him and ultimately it might be going forward.

“But right here, right now he thought the best thing was coming back to Bradford to play games - but he also understands he's got competition here."
