TYREIK Wright is back at Valley Parade – and targeting 10 goals for City this season.

The Plymouth winger has returned on loan for the rest of the campaign.

It is understood that the Bantams beat off plenty of competition for his signature.

Wright netted four goals in 17 appearances during a fruitful loan stint last season before making a permanent switch to Home Park 12 months ago.

Now he is preparing to don the claret and amber again – with a scoring challenge and an apology to the club for how it ended last time.

“I am absolutely buzzing,” said Wright. “I know what it is like to be here, and it was a no-brainer for me to come back with all the love I got from the fans last time.

“I played my best football here, and every game I played with a smile on my face.

“I feel like I let people down a little bit with the way I left last January, so am here to repay everyone.

“I am looking to get double figures in goals between now and the end of the season and help the club climb back up the table.

“I definitely have unfinished business here and am looking to finish it between now and the end of the season.

“I am buzzing to walk out in front of the fans again and hear my name called out. I will try to do my best for them.”

Boss Graham Alexander cannot wait to see Wright in training with the squad tomorrow.

He said: “We are delighted to be bringing Tyreik back to the club.

“His work rate, pace and goal threat will be very valuable to us, giving us an extra dimension to our attacking options.

“After speaking with Tyreik, it was clear he was highly motivated to play for us again. I am really looking forward to working with him.”
