BRADFORD City Women bounced back from FA Cup defeat in style, thrashing Hartlepool United 7-0 in the North East Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division on Sunday.
Hull United knocked the Bantams out of the cup last weekend, but there was no hangover at Horsfall, with substitute Maria McKenna the hero.
She helped herself to a superb hat-trick after coming on to the field, while Hannah Markey bagged a brace.
City’s other goalscorers were Aaliyah Nolan and Mia Jacobs.
The win moves the Bantams up to fourth in the table, as they look to gain promotion back to the FA Women’s National League Division One North at the first attempt.
